Responsible voting is the act of casting a ballot in an informed and thoughtful manner, considering the proposals, democratic values, and impact on society. It is a fundamental expression of citizen participation.
Citizen participation is the pillar of a healthy democracy. It allows society to influence public decisions, strengthens the legitimacy of institutions, and fosters a more transparent and representative political culture.
It is recommended to consult official sources, analyze electoral programs, attend debates, and follow the work of representatives. Information is key to exercising active and responsible citizenship.
Abstention can weaken the representativeness of the democratic system, as it reduces the diversity of voices in decision-making. High abstention can lead to public policies reflecting less of the interests of the entire society.
Voting is both a fundamental right and a civic responsibility. It is the primary mechanism for citizens to exercise their sovereignty and contribute to building the common future of society.

Your trusted source for meaningful participation. Our Story
It all started with a simple conviction: an informed society is a stronger society. In 2018, a small group of committed citizens, concerned about low participation in local elections, decided to act. Our first achievement was the creation of a basic digital guide on the voting process, distributed for free in libraries and community centers. The response was encouraging and confirmed a latent need.
Over the years, our project evolved. From a guide, we moved on to organizing in-person workshops, then to developing accessible web content, and finally, to becoming the reference platform that Cuidatuvoto.com is today. Each stage was marked by learning and adaptation, always with a focus on demystifying the democratic process and highlighting the individual responsibility that each vote entails. Our mission has never been to influence in one direction, but to ignite the spark of conscious citizen participation.
